The sloping exterior bearing walls presented a particular structural challenge.
Our client Hays + Ewing Design Studio has been honored with an Award of Excellence for the “DogTrot House”, just north of Charlottesville. We worked extensively with the architects to achieve the tilted bearing walls and large beam spans across the open dogtrot at the center of the house. We are very fortunate to collaborate with such talented, fun, and creative people!
